All in a night's work...

Let us sculpt and paint, for tomorrow we Rumble!

Rumble in the Bronx does indeed start tomorrow, and I do have a lot of work still to do. Just in case you hadn't worked it out yet, I bit off more than I could chew (again). The last couple of nights have been late ones, trying to get my army in order. Here is what I did last night...

Yeah, I had to do pretty much all of this last night. The flying carpet itself was nearly finished, at least.

My flying Ogre Tyrant. I had several ideas on how I wanted this guy to look, but in the end I went for something that was more or less workable with the bits I had on hand (and an almost manageable amount of sculpting).

I was going for a "sexy hero pose", with him looking up and into the distance. I think I might have bumped his head a few too many times doing the other bits though (including his hair), because his chin isn't as lifted as I remember.

He has no weapon, because sexy heroes need no weapons. Instead he has fabulous flowing locks and a cape. So let's face it, he's equipped.

My BSB. Whilst I had ideas for the carpet-rider (even if I didn't end up following any of them through), I really didn't know what to do with this guy to make him look different from a normal standard bearer. And I had few bits and limited time. I would have modified the head, but it was getting too late. Maybe sometime later, after painting. This will have to do for now.

I made his flag out of a sheet of plasticard that I held over the open fire until it started to curl. I didn't know what it would do. Kind of hoped it would go floppy so I could wrap it over things. Ah well. I imagine this guy uses the standard top like a hammer. That was the idea (I was struggling for those last night).

And lastly we have the Hunter, with his pet. I had an idea of how I wanted this guy to work, but the details were vague. As a result, there are still no details. He also got really squat-looking with all the furs. The beard looks more distinct from the rest of it in real life. Or it did last night...

I liked the idea of him running along next to his friend, but in the end the space on the base forced me to go for a more static pose.

Fur, fur, fur. I thought about adding a couple of things to break it up a bit, but time was not on my side. Another thing for later, maybe.

So that's it. Now I have one night to paint all of them. It is possible, I think.
