Distractions abound

So I really should be writing up more of the battles that have occurred in the Albion campaign, but a combination of factors have stalled my progress. My work situation has been (and still is) changing. I have continued to focus a fair bit of attention on my Ogre Siegebreaker project. And now Warhammer Total War has come out...

Having never actually played any of the Total War games before, the game has been a bit of a learning experience. But I'm certainly having fun trying to muddle through. It does absorb time, though - potentially a lot of time...

As for those Ogres, I have been making progress. Despite Total War trying to steal all my love and attention. Whilst I don't have any that are completely finished, I do have a rough basecoat on a couple, 2 more almost ready for basing and undercoat, and another one is on its way.
The second assembled Ogre. This one is on the march.
Ogres 3 and 4. I'm told they're wielding "televisions on sticks". Well they're meant to be hammers. I will probably have to add some sort of detailing to make them slightly different from each other, and to make them look less like TVs. Note the partly painted guys lurking in the background.
Once I get a block of 6 of these assembled I might make a point of properly painting them so that I have something to show properly. Or you know, I might get addicted to assembling them and keep going until I have a dozen. Or I might get consumed by the computer game and you will never hear from me again! Time will tell.

  1. Make them different you say? One could be watching Channel 9, and the other the ABC. The one watching the ABC would be smarter, but there would be considerably more watching Channel 9 once the unit was finished.

    1. I don't think you're going in the same direction with this as I had in mind.

  2. Damn Total War. I have lost weeks of my life to the their previous releases!

Thankfully I would need an entire computer upgarde in order to buy this.

    1. Friends had always told me I should be playing the various Total War games, but I never really had the spare time to justify picking one of them up. Now I still don't have the time, but I have greater motivation.

    1. I... really don't want them to be TVs. Really. But yes you're right, they're lacking key details.

    1. It's a good excuse though, right? I have a friend in a similar situation. He seems to have already committed to the new computer, though.

  6. I am having the same trouble - TW:Warhammer is such a blast my hobby time has ground to a halt. Good to see you are still making progress.

    1. Oh well, our hobby will still be there when we've had our fill of playing this game. We can just keep telling ourselves that, right?

  7. Have the Ogres playing TW: Warhammer on their TV hammers. Best of both worlds?
