The supply wagon unit filler for my Greatsword regiment is completed. |
The view from the front, complete with the wonky sword on the guard. I didn't plan things very well - it ultimately has to bend like that to ensure it's firmly planted (and glued) to the base. |
The other side. As you can see, it's all pretty basic. Nothing too fancy. |
The Quartermaster is magnetised by a nail in his right foot, so he pivots around a bit. |
The guard, being the only thing that really ties the wagon to its parent unit. Maybe I should have put more great weapons in the wagon. |
The Quartermaster. I haven't gotten around to writing anything on his checklist yet. Maybe if I come up with something funny. |
9 more Greatswords, ready to go. |
The full unit as it currently stands. |
If I wasn't so lazy I might have given him a puffy sleeve. But I am really not concerned with such things right now. |
Very cool unit filler has a lot of character and unit looks great. Like the old school green edging on the base to
ReplyDeleteCheers. The green does seem very prominent in these photos. I think I need to play with my camera settings again.
DeleteSuch wagonificence! Hippos the world over stand in awe and applaud loudly.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought that was not a word. But then I realised that it must be, because you surely would not have used it otherwise...
DeleteI quite like the unit filler in the medium sized unit, to me it works well but I am looking forward to the full 60 strong unit. When I first gamed hammer around second edition, 60 of anything constituted most of my army spread around as oh 6-8 units with a frontage of 4. Ah the days have changed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, those were the days. 60 Greatswords would have been a thing of hilarity. As for 40 knights... Well people still laugh at that now, I suppose.
DeleteMerry Christmas Hoodling.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you too, chris! I hope you have fun things planned for the holiday season.
