Well we're almost a third of the way through December, but I'm finally getting around to a post for November. The month was a bit of a mess in terms of my painting patterns.
First off, I needed to get some final work done on my army before the tournament early in the month. I needed a second set of Handgunner detachments, so decided that I'd essentially paint a "unit" of them with the extra champions I needed to populate the Nuln detachments. I basically grabbed whatever I had already undercoated and ready to go, as well as ensuring I had a couple of Hochland longrifles. Somehow that added up to 13 models...
So dark... Anyway, the "unit" up there actually includes 3 champion models. 2 with longrifles and one with a repeater handgun. So if they were being done as a proper larger unit with command, I'd have some choices to make. Although these Magori War Wagon crew I kept using as longrifle champions are pretty low key (not like the GW plastics), so might be able to hide as regular guys.
Because I had hurried to get those ready in time, I actually had heaps of time left in the month. So I promptly wasted it by not hurrying onto the next project. Because I'm very clever. Also I was a little tired. Anyway, I did get onto the next thing, but not early enough to get it done before the end of the month. The delay in this is part of why this post got delayed as well.
This is my second War Wagon with an Engineer. Again, it's a Norba wagon converted with its own extra pieces to make the space up front for the character. This time I added flags (although they're removable) in case I want to use him as a battle standard bearer.
The Engineer and the crew are from Highland miniatures. I did the whole thing in the purple and turquoise combination, because I had run out of different colours I wanted to add (having already done a War Wagon each in purple, turquoise and white), and so long as he's the BSB then it makes sense for him to be broadly encompassing of the whole force.
The banners were printed and then put onto very thin brass rod (I don't like drilling into thin bits of resin - couldn't make the rod any thicker without things cracking). I'm not really all that happy with how they're connected at present - they're just sitting (pretty loosely) in holes drilled into the sides of the wagon (and I even drilled out the side for one of them - you can see it in the first picture). I may go back and do something to this, like find some plastic tube to go around the brass to make the pole thicker, or find a better way to sling the banners.
I do feel like I'm coming to the end of my Nuln project. I intend to paint a couple of Volley Guns, maybe a couple of Engineers on foot, and then (very maybe) some more Outriders, given they seem to be the real key to the Nuln list. We'll see if I can hold on that long. I've committed to playing Old World up in Canberra on the Cancon weekend, so it's possible there will be some painting required for that, as well.

The only other person who has anything to show for November is of course Sean, who has been more relentlessly hitting his goals than I have. He's probably already painted something for December, and just hasn't told me yet...
3 more Fiends, who were apparently mainly painting practice for what was to follow...

Tim did make some progress on his Skaven, but didn't finish anything. He's disappeared on holiday for a while, but he's also entered Old World up in Canberra, so I think he's planning to paint up a storm when he gets back. Time will tell...
