Duelling Paintbrushes 2: It begins

Today is the 1st of November, which means it's the first day of the second edition of Duelling Paintbrushes. I've been a bit lax in the lead-up to this, so I'm still yet to commit to my plans. Well, time to rectify this. Here is what I plan to paint in the next month:

  • General of the Empire on foot
  • Warrior Priest on foot
  • Battle Wizard on foot
  • Witch Hunter on foot
  • 42 Halberdiers
  • 20 Free Company
  • 16 Crossbowmen
  • 5 Pistoliers

This is what it looks like sitting on the table:
A few of the character models may change, but the number of models is correct
It's a lot of models (87 to be exact) - I'll be happy if I make the target. These models will be the first departure from my current scheme of white and purple; they will wear the yellow and green of Stirland. Over time they will be joined by others in a similar vein.

A number of others will be taking part in the challenge, and I will provide links to their efforts on a regular basis. It promises to be a busy month.

  1. I thought we'd decided the 1000 points thing would level the playing field... and then you decided to take more figures than me anyway!

  2. That's right! This way, even if I lose, I look more manly/insane. It's a win-win!

Also, this clearly highlights a lack of ambition on your part. I expect due penance.

    1. Will the fact that I have now finished 21 figures in three days help? I am ahead of the insane schedual I calculated which allows for the painting of 2500 points in the time limit!
